So I finally got my Megacon photos from Leonard, and then my Imagicon pictures from a few weekends ago are also in my possession, so costume pages for Franziska and Mio have been created with new pictures, as well as Dr. Girlfriend, which I rewore at Imagicon. My shoot with Dim Horizon Studios that was supposed to take place in April actually ended up being pushed back to June- so it’s this weekend! It’s been a long wait, so I’m very excited that it’s finally time! I have been ITCHING to get Cliff back into Phillip! Let’s just hope he doesn’t melt in the hot Atlanta sun…
In other news, I graduated from Auburn University (and was on the Dean’s List in my final semester!) and now have a job in Atlanta as a Sales Coordinator for a marketing company. Life is good! Cliff and I are looking forward to our first San Diego Comic-con in a month and one week!
I have a new layout, and now I have photo galleries for every costume I’ve created from 2004 to 2009! I’ll be creating pages for 2010 once I get some good pictures back from Megacon. (I joke that Leonard’s backlog makes for a two month wait, but it seems like it’s gonna be 3 months this time!) This weekend, I’m looking forward to a photoshoot in Atlanta with Cliff as Briar Rose and Prince Phillip. Matt of Dim Horizon Studio will be our photographer. I can’t wait!
For the record, all galleries feature photos that can’t be found on my cosplay.com account, or on my ACP page, so my site is the place to go for ALL my favorite costume photos from now on!
I kept the same modded theme, but changed my background, header, and post divider. I have to thank Mer for the inspiration! Her new header was such a nice showcase of her costumes that it made me realize why my site’s last layout felt so plain. Here’s to hoping I finish updating my site! I’ve added more web space and created a page for every costume through 2009, so now it’s literally JUST a matter of making galleries for every page. I made one for Himawari race queen because I have so few pictures for that costume, and Mer wanted to learn how to put in a gallery.
Graduating in 3 1/2 weeks! ……..OMG. O_O
So I haven’t made an update post since right before my final semester began, but now that things are starting to slow down (and will probably slow down even more so after my senior project wraps up in early March), I can actually make an update.
I’ve mostly been doing small edits here and there, but nothing too extreme since January. I’ve got one other photo gallery online aside from Haruko, and that’s my Princess Aurora gallery. It has a TON of photos all from a photoshoot in Atlanta on the distinctive Oglethorpe University campus. Photo credits go to Dean and Fong of GuyBehindtheCamera.com and Brian Boling. HUGE thanks to them for lending their time, as well as to Mary for organizing the shoot.
I wish I could get more galleries online, but until my upgrade issues are resolved, I can’t afford to upload all of the photos I already have online. (Darn you, wordpress!) More updates to come soon, though. Don’t forget to email me if you’re interested in a link exchange!
This week I started my final semester of college, and since it’s going to be so vital to me, I’m making sure to try and get one big distraction out of the way before I get too deep in- and that’s this website! I have created costume pages for every costume up until 2009, but the time-consuming part (generating galleries) is what I’m not looking forward to… Especially because I need to fix the coding in WordPress so I can use the Flash Uploader again. @_@;;
Also made some aesthetic changes! For instance, I coded my own (or modded some coding, anyway) Navigation Bar! Ain’t it pretty?? I really think it’s what this layout needed, I am liking it so much more now than before. The best part about all the trouble this site is giving me is that I’ll be able to apply all this know-how to more important things, like my online portfolio and my boyfriend’s law blog. Speaking of which, I really should be working on that instead of this, but I can’t help it, updating my cosplay website is so much more fun!
Another page I’ve finally created is the Extra section, which contains a list of events that I’ve been a part of at conventions, as well as video footage of all the skits I have performed with my group, Coconut Bubble Sex Cosplay, and other miscellaneous convention videos.
So after a LOT of trial and error, I finally figured out how to get my costume photo galleries going! So far, I have one page complete, and that is Haruko. It’s not exactly how I want it yet, but I’ll figure it out. I also updated the links page with 4 new banners. I might get rid of some and make a few more so they’re not so Sheryl-centric, but not any time soon.
For now, I have to put the site on hold while I prepare for my finals and Anime South, where I will be on staff as the cosplay events coordinator. I’ll also be a maid in the Friday Zero no Tsukaima-themed maid cafe!
I now have costume pages created for all costumes from 2004-2006. There are no photo galleries, yet, because I’m waiting until I can figure out lightbox, as well as figure out how to get more webspace (because I might be switching hosting soon!). More updates coming soon!
So the website is about 50% converted… in fact, I’d say it’s at the same stage I had it at previously in about half the time!
The following pages are up:
- Costumes (sans links and galleries)
- Links
- About
- Conventions
The rest are still in construction!
So after going through all the hard work to code my own layout, I gave up and decided to just switch over to WordPress anyway.
